West Indian Day Parade: NEVER AGAIN!
I made the mistake of attending this parade yesterday and let me tell you I will never ever ever attend this parade again. Like I fool i thought it would be like any other parade held in and around the city . Hell, I will be honest and say that the news reports describing this parade as being colorful and full of vibrant events and music were basically down right lies. Sure there was music but I have never been to a parade where the floats were loaded down with a dozen speakers blasting music at ungodly levels of decibels. Never have I been in attendance at a parade where people were simulating sex on the floats. The behavior at this parade was outrageous.
By far the worst aspect of this parade was the way in which my family and I were treated. Yes were are not African American but that was no reason for the people in attendance to treat us with such disdain. All I kept hearing was cracker this and cracker that. At one point my wife was fondled and I basically grabbed her and the kids and tried to skedaddle out of the area.
The icing on the cake was the stabbing that we witnessed. A fight between 2 party goers broke out and before I knew it there was blood everywhere. My wife and children were traumatized beyond belief. The police did nothing to apprehend the stabber and when we approached them to offer our assistance as witnesses they basically shooed us away. Unbelievable.
If any of you have the slightest curiosity about attending this parade I implore you for the love of God....DO NOT!
Next year I am keeping my foolish tookus in Park Slope.

I don't believe a word you're saying. Aren't you the same person who complained about the garbage on Franklin Ave (?) after a block party? It basically sounds like you've taken recent news stories and molded a story to troll with. I haven't heard the word "cracker" used since I was in 4th grade. And that was a long, long time ago. And it's You seem to have a problem with black folk throwing a party, if I may be so blunt. And it's t-u-c-h-u-s, not tookus.
