How to get rid of the Drug Dealers on Grand Avenue ? — Brooklynian

How to get rid of the Drug Dealers on Grand Avenue ?

The drug dealers at 413 Grand Ave are getting really bad. Dealing in the street, fighting, load music and no one to stop them.

Last week they started a fire between two parked cars that was put out (quickly) by the fire department.

No shooting, yet, but only a matter of time.

Calls to 311 and 911 do little. Even reported the two of the cars used by the boss - A white BMW and Jeep.

Any ideas what to do to get rid of them ?

  • I suspect that gentrification is the only sure-fire way to get rid of street level dealers, but meeting with your precinct's Community Affair officer and politicians might help.

  • if its a crack house and owners are old etc.. always give them a call and tell them they could get a ton of money for the house and retire in lux.

Thanks, will try both next week.

  • Organized dealing in these parts is handled by the Brooklyn North Narcotics division. You can report it at 1-888-374-DRUG. Theoretically they'll watch the scene, send in undercover buyers, and do busts, etc...but don't hold your breath. Still, it's a decent place to start.

Good call, would be nice to get a faster result!

I have already given them some information and they know the address and that there is dealing going on.

  • In the event that none of the above works:

Learn the location of another drug dealer, whose location and turf is several blocks away.

Have friends who do not live in the neighborhood, create a drug war in yours!

Have them spread rumors to druggies re:

    -superior drug quality

    -turf violations

-"They keep lots of money under their sofa"

-"They got all those drugs, and they don't even have guns to protect it from being robbed"

The resulting surge of crime will cause more police presence and/or dead drug dealers.

Note: If done well, this strategy is very effective in getting rid of dealers, but there is the risk of you or your neighbors being hit by a stray bullet. Make sure your friends do this "work" in your neighborhood only one time each.

  • ^ if you follow that route buy alot of insurance for yourself and family :p. someone could get a good pay day out of it.
