ugh! Their ricotta is good, their cooked chicken cutlets are good, but, they should be shot to call themselves italian and serve those meatballs they do! I just bought two of them, took one bite of one of them and threw them in the garbage, they were gross! I should have known fro the gray color, blech! Never again

Good to know! I tasted their mozz at the event last night and liked it better than Russo's.

They are the closest we get to a old school family meat shop, like the kind you get in Carrol Gardens.

I should add they sometimes have LARD BREAD!!

Fleisher's is opening soon on 5th nr Union: new school family meat market (grassfed). They will have prepared foods too, including roast chickens. I have no personal connection to them other than loving their market in Kingston.

Ahhh, I hadn't heard about this and am really excited about it!

We had the pleasure of attending a Fleisher's dinner hosted by The Farm on Adderley a few years ago, where every course had pork. It was the most delicious meat I've ever eaten. The Farm actually has another "Meat-the-Butcher" dinner coming up in October!
