Should we wait for the MTA to clean Prosp. Pk Shuttle Statio — Brooklynian

Should we wait for the MTA to clean Prosp. Pk Shuttle Statio

I have lived here in Brooklyn just over a year now and I see the growing populace of new ppl very rapidly. Just take a ride on the Shuttle and you will see what I mean. Otherwise, I would guess the ppl who reside at the newly renovated Triple 5 Prospect Pk would complain about the mess that clutters in between the gates of the ramp up to the shuttle station. As well as the array of discarded MetroCards, bottles, paper, batteries, cigarette butts and cans that lie along with the rocks under the platform. I tried to complain to the station agent who only informed me to contact the superintendent, Kevin Berry.
To be honest, as a Black man who has witnessed many New York City neighborhoods slowly gentrify, I feel that most ppl think it is solely the "hoods" who create the mess while the folks who work for the System ignore the problem and everyone else waits for someone else to do it. Some days I want to get down there myself with bags and gloves and sleeves rolled up to pick up the garbage myself - but I don't. Like most of us, I walk on by. I wanted to post flyers but that may be against their law. And besides who has time to read a strong posted flyer while trying to catch the oncoming train? So what better way than to post on this site.
If anyone has any suggestions could you let me know how to get others to possibly join in and get together to clean this mess. Or we could all call the number of Kevin Berry(718 694 3025) and the MTA and let them know that we are sick of looking at the mess and somehow use the mucho money they profit everyday and get someone who deserves to work to do it.
