Metal Garbage cans stolen. WHY?????
Super of building informed us this morning that the tenants of our building are to place our garbage on the curb in thick plastic bags until further notice due in part to the fact that someone made off with the 5 metal garbage cans that were situated near the building stairs.
Why would anyone want to steal garbage cans anyway? Must be a teenage prankster on the loose in the neighborhood. Things are definitely getting interesting in the Slope.

Maybe they stole them for the scrap value?

Scrape metal recycling. Recession is getting so bad, people are stealing even fedex boxes just for the metal... others are having their fancy, antique iron fences sawed off for scrap metal... GET A PLASTIC GARBAGE CAN INSTEAD.
