Perhaps it will be used more judicially because the police will have less chance of making an arrest?

Next thing you know the police might focus more attention on actual quality of life and violent crime issues.

An added bonus would be not racially profiling!

The chance of making a misdemeanor arrest provides an incentive to the police to stop and frisk for "no probably cause".

By taking away this incentive, I suspect stop and frisks will go down.

I still cannot believe the NYPD would ask people they stop to commit a criminal act, and because they didn't know the law, they'd do it, and the police would arrest them.

The NYPD engages in such pathetic practices.

That kid's experience is textbook example of how counterproductive marijuana laws are.

Busted for a small amount, loses his job.

Exactly the opposite of what society should want.
