Donating for Irene relief
I just saw this link and thought it worth sharing.
Got stuff to donate? You can take it to the GAP Saturday market Oct. 1. For more drop off locations, go to the link.
Pasted from the link:
?Starting today at designated Greenmarkets in Brooklyn, and Friday, September 30, and next Saturday, October 1, in select markets in other boroughs, food and supplies will be collected from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. for distribution to upstate farmers who suffered severe damage from hurricanes Irene and Lee.
Here is a list of the food items, dry goods, and health and cleaning supplies desperately needed:

Snack/granola bars
Paper plates
Disinfectant cleaner

Canned meals (chili, ravioli, etc.)
Shelf-stable or instant milk
