Sunday 10:30 pm: gunshots??

sounded like they were right outside my window - Prospect Place maybe? East of Washington? Our fire escape is open and it was really L-O-U-D. Anyone hear it? No sirens and no screaming... hopefully nothing too serious?

I heard them too... I believe they were fire crackers... as I didn't hear any police sirens... plus fire crackers were going off at random all weekend...

I've seen a lot of kids around shooting off roman candles and M-80 candles over the past several weeks. The M-80 candles in particular could sound like a series of gunshots to the casual listener.

i hear alot of loud ass fire works. scares the crap out of me everytime. they seem to time it with me drinking water or something.

that's a relief. i guess i don't know the difference between guns and firecrackers. (i guess both of them can blow a big hole in you though - they have that in common.)
