"The Neighborhood Show"--PLG Arts Pop-Up Group Show

At 552 Flatbush Avenue (@Maple Street--former Mike's International Restaurant space)

Dates: Oct 30th-November 13th 2011

This group show is intended to feature the diversity of visual arts produced by Brooklyn-based artists in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and vicinity. Both wall-hangable pieces and free-standing sculpture are welcome. The amount of space allocated to each artist will be determined by the number of participating artists. The space is quite large and we hope to be able to accommodate everyone who applies, but, if interest exceeds available space, priority will be given to the earliest replies.

There will be crafts vendors on the weekends, as well as music and spoken word; this will be far more than just a visual arts show.

Our show will be preceded by "Between Neighbors," a solo show of the paintings of Brian Halloran, which will take place from October 13th through October 25th.

There is no entry fee or commission.

There is no minimum work requirement, but help with site preparation, hanging, and gallery-sitting will be appreciated.

The deadline for applications is October 7th.
