Then I will have to slap you along with the other fellow! :P
I waslked by the building in question about a half hour ago... those squat little windows really ARE ugly... If you're building from scratch, why not at least put in some tall windows?! i'm on a budget!!!i spent 300k already on reno. restoring all the orginal layout . that inculdes the windows.

NO! Not you! The building in the listing! The one on Underhill and Prospect?! Ya know, if you don't start paying attention, you're going to find yourself committed to something that you weren't even aware of...

  • the funny thing is, Prospect Heights is an older name than Park Slope.

100 years ago, "Prospect Heights" referred to neighborhood surrounding the hilltop where Mount Prospect Park and the Museum are - it very much included not only today's PH, but the area around Grand Army Plaza, 'north park slope' (Union, Berkely, Lincoln etc), and the never built neighborhood south of the museum (where the gardens now are - look at old maps, and there are streets laid out there).

Think about it: the name 'Park Slope' can't exist until there is a park to slope away from. But Prospect Heights just needs a hill - and Mount Prospect is one of the highest points in Brooklyn...it's an older name.

Hey, it works about as well as when one broker tried to tell me that 23rd St and 4th Ave was South Slope. Lots of :lol::lol: over that one!
