Brooklyn, NY: PigPen Theatre Company, back-to-back winners of the 2010 and 2011 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award, will offer their mesmerizing storytelling style that incorporates live actors, puppetry, movement and original music to a brand new theatrical fable “The Nightmare Story”.

Four mysterious brothers arrive at the Irondale Center this October, to tell you their favorite story. It is the story of a woman tormented by nightmares, and a boy who is the key to her salvation. He is her only son – and he must undertake a terrible journey into the heart of a city gripped by terror if he hopes to save his mother’s life. But who are these mysterious brothers? Why do they tell this tale? And more importantly, why do they tell it to you? Find out just in time for Halloween!

The ensemble of 7, Alex Falberg, Arya Shahi, Ben Ferguson, Curtis Gillen, Daniel Weschler, Matthew Nuernberger,Ryan Melia, met and formed PigPen Theatre while they were students at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in 2008. PigPen is now based in New York, but has toured throughout the US. The company creates atmospheric theatrical fables with a unique blend of shadow puppetry, group movement, live music, and clever lighting effects and terrific acting.
