South Slope Silent Art Auction--Friday 11/18 from 6-9 pm!

Art Comes to the South Slope

Internationally exhibited artists participate in the South Slope Silent Art Auction

Art lovers are invited to a one-of-a-kind exhibition and silent auction on Friday, November 18, featuring artists from Brooklyn and around the world. Participants include:

•Marti Cormand, an internationally known artist whose work is included in collections such as New York’s MoMA and Fundacio La Caixa in Barcelona

•Helidon Gjergji, who has participated in exhibitions throughout the U.S. and Europe including Venice Biennale 52, Present Future, and Artissima 10 (Turin)

•Ray Gorum, who has staged several large-scale, site-specific installations in NYC, and has been exhibited in solo and group shows in the U.S., Brazil, and Asia

•Swoon, an internationally known street artist whose work has been seen around the world. She appeared in Exit Through the Gift Shop, the documentary about Banksy, released in 2010.

•Amy Vogel, the subject of solo exhibitions including Larissa Goldston Gallery in New York, Gallery 40,000 in Chicago, and Air de Paris, as well as numerous group exhibitions

•And more than 35 other artists. More than 60 works in all will be available for viewing and purchase.

Hosted by PS 295: The Studio School for Art and Culture, a South Slope elementary school, the South Slope Silent Art Auction will be held at Korzo (667 5th Ave, Brooklyn) on Friday, November 18, from 6pm – 9pm (bidding ends at 8:30). Proceeds will benefit PS 295’s art program. Featured artwork can be previewed at www.southslopesilentartauction.blogspot.com/.
