Our Business Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

•Writing press releases and coordinating press strategy;

•Research on and outreach to neighborhood-oriented, food-oriented and urban agriculture-related organizations, blogs and publications;

•Maintenance of company blog;

•Coordinating community outreach and street level marketing;

•Distribute postcards to and set up displays at over 50 local stores and organizations on a periodic basis;

•Monitor company email, respond to information requests and schedule coop installations and supplies deliveries;

•Represent the company at green markets, food fairs and other relevant events;

•A variety of other marketing and sales activities, and possibly other duties as needs develop.

Requirements: Formal experience is preferred but not necessary, but we are looking for someone who is organized, eloquent, responsive, computer savvy, familiar with basic social networking, enjoys interacting with all kinds of people, able to work independently, knows NYC and is crazy enough to understand our business, without being too crazy.

Pay: $10/hr for up to 100 hrs/mo. plus commission.

Hours: Looking for a minimum commitment of 20 hrs/wk.

Start and Duration: Immediate start, through June, with possibility of continuing work through the year.

Location: Some work can be done remotely, but at least half of the work will require travel to/around Brooklyn and some other parts of NYC.

If interested, email your resume and cover letter to [email protected]. We apologize in advance that we will not be able to respond to all applicants
