In the Chinese zodiac, we are beginning the Year of the Dragon: a mythical symbol of power and control of water, rainfall and hurricanes. Join us in learning the Dragon Dance and creating a paper dragon of your own to take home!

Metlife Early Learner Performance Series: David Grover

Folk-rock for every generation! Grover has been compared to Mr. Rogers, Paul Simon & James Taylor and Raffi. He’s won countless awards including a Grammy nomination and Artist of the Year. Grover has performed at the White House, The Today Show, the Detroit Symphony and the UN. This engaging and entertaining performance is sure to make you a “Grover Groupie”. Made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, celebrating 50 years of building strong, creative communities in New York State’s 62 counties.

Journey to the time of the dinosaurs. Touch real dino footprints, fossilized amber, and participate in a real fossil dig and learn to identify what you uncover!

Gather up your picks and your fossil brushes – it’s excavation time! Examine real fossils, then play paleontologist as you unearth real bones, shells, and other treasures from a plaster dig site. Learn how scientists unlock the mysteries of the past.
