Seeking 1BR apartment, somewhere between Brooklyn Heights and Prospect Heights

A friend needs help finding a 1BR place. He's lived in Brooklyn before, and his move-in date is flexible (he's in a month-to-month situation right now.) He's looking for something in the $1500-$1700 range, along the 4/5 or 2/3 trains, west of Franklin, preferably. Stable job and good credit. If you're looking to get out of a lease or planning on moving sometime this spring, let me know! Alternatively, if you worked with a broker you really liked, that'd be great to know as well.
