Help design and plant a garden at the BPL Children's Library, Grand Army Plaza.
Have you seen that sad patch of ground in front of the children's library entrance on Eastern Parkway? It sits right next to Mount Prospect Park. A sad sight indeed.
Well, the library has teamed up with a volunteer group from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to help transform this space into an inspiring entrance.
What are your idea's for turning this empty patch of dirt into something special?
The group is holding it's second public meeting on Saturday 2/11/12 at 3pm in the Trustee's room at the library and invites anyone with an interest in helping the community, who gardens, or has design ideas to come along and get involved. If you are a library user or local resident, even more reason to join in.

See you on the 11th!
