Great Roommate Needs Room - Mid-Late August

Lease on my current tiny, overpriced studio in Ft. Greene is up at the end of August and I'd really like to stay in the area. I'd love to negotiate a mid-late August prorated move-in, but if this is not possible I'd consider an August 1 move-in for a great fit. My price range is up to 700, depending on utilities included.


ABOUT ME:

26 year old female non-smoker currently doing temp-perm secretarial work & part time babysitting. I have savings and good credit and have never had a problem paying my bills. I'd have no problem paying first months rent plus security etc.

I'm not racist, sexist or sexual-preferencist.

I have two kitties, Bumper and Billie. They are brother and sister, about a year old and they are very sweet, although a bit skittish. They've never acted aggressively towards anyone, even the small kids they've come into contact with. They're dying for some extra space and I'm sure after a bit of getting to know you and/or your pets they will love you (or at least know how to stay out of your way). I love animals, so I would be happy to care for other pets as my very own if you were interested in getting them.

As a roommate, I think that respect is the key word for me. I shared a house with 4 sisters, my mom and grandmother when I was growing up and have lived in countless roommate situations since, so I know what it means to schedule times for a bathroom. I respect that other people share common areas and can keep them tidy and free of my clutter, clean my dishes after I use them. I'm more introvert than extrovert by nature, so I'm not likely to get in your way. I'm by no means misanthropic or unfriendly, it's just the ratio of time by myself to time with others necessary for my sanity happens to be a lot larger than that for many others. Being a person who cherishes her alone time, I respect other people's hours and need for privacy, although I'm not a hermit and also enjoy good, wacky, spirited conversation. Most importantly, I respect that everyone deals with money differently. I pay bills on time.


WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:

- Ft. Greene / Clinton Hill / Bed-Stuy are my ideal neighborhoods, but I'm open to others, especially if they're close
- Ideally, as many utilities included in the price as possible would be great
- Internet connection
- Non-furnished and private room
- Roommates who
+ pay bills on time & consistently
+ are able to give me at least a few days' heads-up for parties
+ are capable of adult communication and behavior: can communicate their needs in a non-hostile way & appreciate the same from others
+ are laid back, nice, into music, arts, teaching or something else they can teach me about and willing to love my kitties would be bonuses!
