Buildings on Plaza Vanderbilt and Park Place

Does anyone know what's happening with the building at the northwest(?) corner of Plaza Street and Vanderbilt and the building on southwest corner of Park Place and Vanderbilt? The upper stories of both are wrapped in plastic. At least on the Plaza Street building the plastic is cut at the window openings.

If I recall, the Park Place building just had some work done a couple of years ago.

Reason I'm asking? Just curious.

I talked to the super - they had some water damage from some of the storms in the fall and winter and are sealing the exterior while they make repairs.
