Subject: Amin's Audaciously Rude Waiters

Are the waiters at Amin Indian Cuisine at 92 7th Avenue rude to other customers or have they mistaken me for public enemy # 1? A year ago, I was secretly unimpressed with Amin’s ho-hum entrees, drowning in coconut milk and ghee, lacking fresh vegetables and zesty seasoning. I was shocked by the waiters’ belligerence throughout dinner. Like a fool, I recently gave Amin another shot. Fool! Again, I was flabbergasted by Amin’s waiters’ rudeness. Before dinner was served, the staff treated any request – for utensils, water, and even food – as a great inconvenience. All entrees – bowls of orange, sugary soup and little more – were served at different times, or missing, or not what was ordered. Unapologetic about any meal mix-ups, Amin’s waiters caused my group of four to feel as if we were trapped in an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” If I ever decide to return to Amin and greet a waiter dying to flip me the bird, someone please slap me! (Please note I have waited tables myself).

  • Well, I used to order from there and they were nice enough, but there are some better options now.

Unrelated: Is it just me, or do a lot of people start their posting careers with complaints about restaurants? I think I might have too...going to have to go back and check.

I started mine with a question/complaint about the GAP fountain not being on last summer.
  • I'm impressed that I finally have "a career"
