Abandoned kittens

Yesterday I found a box of 6 kittens, five days old, in a box on the sidewalk in front of the coop. Someone had written on the box that they were found without a mom. The thing is, they most likely had a mom. They were well fed and hydrated. I've found a safe place for them, but I wanted to get the word out that if you find kittens, please hold off before you take them. It's so much better if you can catch the mom with them, and by waiting a couple of hours, you might make all the difference in the babies' lives.

Excellent advice! Let me know if you need any help placing the kittens, getting them vetted, etc... I can put you in touch with a few rescue groups that may be able to help.
