Capoeira Beginners Class in Gowanus

Spring is here, the sun and warm weather are upon us and it's a great time to start training with RB Capoeira Brooklyn!

RdB Capoeira Brooklyn is pleased to announce our May Absolute Beginner series dates:

Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00pm - 9:30pm

May 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th & 31st. 

If you have always been curious about Capoeira and wanting to learn more in an environment designed exclusively for new comers, this is the class for you!

The series of classes, for those new to Raizes do Brasil Capoeira, meets twice weekly for 4 weeks for a total of 8 classes. The classes focus on stretching, conditioning, the fundamental movements of Capoeira, and singing & playing Capoeira instruments. The series provides an excellent foundation for entering our regular, ongoing classes and an introduction to the art, music and history of Capoeira.  

The cost of the series is $120 if paid in advance or $135 if paid on the first day of class -- this includes one free Raizes do Brasil Capoeira Brooklyn group t-shirt. Participants are allowed up to two make-ups that can be redeemed by attending the ongoing Beginners classes. Uniform pants (abada) are not required for the series. However, if you choose to purchase an abada/corda within the first week of the series, you receive a 10% discount. 

Register by coming to the academy during ongoing class times and pay for the series. Registration is limited due to limited space and the series usually fills up before the first day. Your payment reserves your spot, not just your email, so we encourage you to stop by early. Attached please find our registration form to bring fully filled out with your payment.

Classes are held at Rai­zes do Brasil Capoeira Brooklyn located at 114 8th St, 3rd Floor, between 2nd and 3rd Ave in Brooklyn. The academy is conveniently located near the 9th Street/4th Avenue stop on the R/F/G trains in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn.
