A legal use of a handgun in Florida

Under Florida law, a person is allowed to use deadly force if he or she fears death or serious injury to themselves or others. As long as the person isn't committing a crime and is in a place where he or she has a right to be, they are considered to be acting within the law.

Now that the excitement of the Treyvon Martin case has settled down, is anyone ready to discuss whether they are comfortable living in a state with such a law?

Should the average person be able to have a concealed weapon, and use it in an instance like this (watch video):

This is a legal use of a firearm in Florida. Like it?

...or, do you think such instances would be outweighed by people shooting someone when they were not actually in danger?
