Some young men are thrilled at the prospect that the owner of PBR may make a bid for Twinkies.
When combined with marijuana, it would create a perfect evening for some...

Yes! Not that I erm smoke or anything like that.
There are many nasty treat makers, for that post high carb nastiness craving.. I know all over Sunset Park there is this brand called BIMBO:
-
Bimbo looks bad.

-
Bimbo has money, and has expressed an interest: http://www.inquisitr.com/403557/hostess-may-be-bought-by-mexico-based-baking-company/#2DG5p77QcV7Ej0OD.99

I love bimbos!

The junior high school jokes about how a Ding Dong always wanted to be owned by a Bimbo write themselves:

-
I wouldn't quite ring the death knell as of yet ~ after all, Twinkies have been around since the dawn of civilization and will likely continue forever:

-

Yes, I think they will outlast us mere mortals. -
Yes, but what about Ring Dings and Hostess Cupcakes?
Can civilization survive without them?
-
Please define "civilization"
-
The world as we know it, i.e. where all foods come wrapped in cardboard and plastic.
-
Those who buy meals at Wawa, Circle K, 7-11, and/or bodegas may have the hardest time waiting until the void left by Hostess is filled.
Will sales of Beef Jerky increase?
-
Twinkies are not all that difficult to make. So, if I want to eat some, I'll make my own.
But there is one product that no longer exists and, to me, too difficult to make at home. And I am soooooooo [expletive discreetly deleted by the poster] mad that Nabsico no longer makes these wonderful crackers:

They were so good with soups, esp with Yankee chowder. How I miss them!
-
Fear not, they will come back!
Here is your Twinkie update:
-
They will be back as early as July!
-
While the brand has returned, those who want to own one of the former plants can still make a bid:
-
Alas poor me! I can no longer eat foods that contain gluten. Therefore, I shall never be able to eat an Twinkies again. But fear not for I shall endeavor to make some. However, I will not be able to make seabiscuits as there just isn't any substitute for wheat. Argh!
-
@prodigalson Unless you have celiac disease, I question your need to abstain from gluten. Life is too short to deny yourself Twinkies.

Aha! I just read where Hostess (under its new company name - ever what that may be) is planning on creating a new gluten free Twinkies & am looking forward to it. Now if they can only create a GF Pilot seabiscuit!
Howdy, Stranger!
