We are currently recruiting monolingual and Spanish/English bilingual children between the ages of 2 ½ to 3 ½ for a study being conducted by Dr. Bruce Homer at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue (5th Ave and E. 34th St). Children who have participated in the past have really enjoyed it. The 45 minute study involves a game in which your child hides a small Mickey Mouse doll in a model and then searches a room for a big Mickey Mouse doll. Your child will also play some games that require vocabulary and paying attention. The findings may help us better understand the role played by language in children's cognitive development. Travel expenses will be compensated and participants will receive a $20 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.
