Fast forward almost a year:

The owners were denied permission to make it residential, and are now using it as performance space one writer is describing as a "Primordial Cave":

I think they are wise not to put any real money or work into the space. Even though it can't (yet) become residential, it will likely be converted into a more profitable use in the near future.
