Hakuna Matata! News about CUMBE's new African Dance and Performance Summer Camp!

Does your child love to move, play, imagine, and create? Do they love “The Lion King?” If so, they will love Cumbe’s new African Dance and Performance Summer Camp! Children will unleash their imagination through dance, choreography, and acrobatics inspired by the Disney production, and create masks, costumes, and props for a performance on the last day of camp! Along the way, they’ll learn about African culture through dance, percussion and story-telling.

AGE RANGES:

Lion Cubs: Preschool aged through entering Kindergarten (3-5 yrs old)

Lions: Entering first through third grade (ages 6-9)

DATES:Week 1: July 15 to 19 and Week 2: July 22 to 26

You can sign up for both weeks, as each week will be

different!

TIMES:9:00am-3:00pm (Kids may be dropped off between 8:30 -9:00am)

Half-day option for ages 3-5: 9:00am-12:30pm

Extended day option: 3:00-5:00pm

COST:$400 (1 week), $740 (2 weeks)

Extended Day: $15 more per day, payable in advance

Half Day (for ages 3-5): $280 (1 week), $520 (2 weeks)

CAMP PREVIEWS!

We invite you and your children to a preview of our African Dance and Performance Summer Camp at one of these information sessions:

Saturday, April 13: 1:00-2:00pm for ages 3-5

2:00-3:00pm for ages 6-9

Sunday, May 12: 2:00-3:00pm for ages 3-5

3:00-4:00 for ages 6-9

Camp staff will be on hand to offer an orientation, lead preview activities, and answer your questions.
