Free filing cabinets etc

Yesterday when coming home, I noticed that the guys at the police station at Washington/Grand/Park were bringing out old filing cabinets and office furniture.

I got a free metal locker and some nice vintage-y office chairs. There were a bunch of pretty nice, newer filing cabinets (big ones) still there.

Check inside and see if they are still giving them away if you're interested. they loaned me their dolly to wheel it the three blocks to my apt too.

Now, if they'd just patrol on foot more in the 'hood...

I've been seeing a couple of cops on bikes patrolling PS of late. They should give them little flashing lights on their handlebars though, make them look more... what's the word... constabularic?
