Brooklyn Pita has New Owner?!?
I stopped by for a falafel today and found that the Israeli guy who has been at Brooklyn Pita (7th Ave. 7-8 Sts)since it opened is gone - it's got a new owner as of today and has changed from Israeli middle eastern to Turkish cuisine. Menu, items on salad bar all changed.
Anyone know what happened here? I was in the place last Wednesday and chatted with old owner about the English Premier League soccer game on his TV while I waited - he never mentioned he was closing/leaving. I will miss him

I also stopped in today and found my sweet Pita sullied. The previous gentlemen were very kind and served up the most righteous falafel. It's possible that the new folks offer similar, but remorse will prevent me from ever knowing.
Howdy, Stranger!
