CALLING ALL COMMUNITY EXPERTS!!!

The Council on Brooklyn Neighborhoods (CBN) is a coalition of
neighborhood organizations whose mission is to engage, educate and
ensure that the community is able to access and comment upon the Draft
Environmental Impact Study (DEIS) for the Atlantic Yards project.

We have enlisted the assistance of a number of consultants with
expertise in various topics to review the DEIS. We are looking for
local ‘experts’ who are interested in sharing their ideas and being
involved in a discussion with our consultants on a particular topic. If
you are not familiar with the DEIS topics under review, please read the
“Guide’ on our website at www.cbrooklynneighborhoods.homestead.com.

To achieve this exchange, CBN is arranging for two 'Expert's
Roundtable' workshops. The dates and places are TBA pending number
attending, but we are looking at mid-week 8/8, 8/9, or 8/10, for the
first one. The second one will be in September, prior to September 22,
the deadline for submission of comments on the DEIS, but after many
people have returned from vacations.

IF YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR EXPERTISE IN ANY "TASKS" IN THE DEIS THAT OUR
EXPERT CONSULTANTS' ARE REVIEWING, PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF TO CBN
BEFORE THE DEADLINE OF WEDNESDAY, 8/2.

CBN will then make the arrangements and contact you with the meeting
information.
