I went in. It's a novel idea, but I fear they will close quickly if they don't lower prices and offer accompaniments such as cookware, cutlery, chopping boards, etc. On the first, it seems to me, as an example, (and maybe I read the pricing wrong) they are charging $30 for all of the ingredients to make a shrimp curry dish. Now, I'm coming home from work and as much as I appreciate the portioned ingredients, why shouldn't I just not go to Mr. Wonton and pick up their shrimp curry for $14.00? Granted, Mr. W's won't have cilantro, or probably be as tasty, however, it's not that bad. I do like the people who run the operation, but IMO, they need to offer more and at reasonable prices. They should certainly have ready-to-eat examples/tastings of the recipes they're pushing.

My gf and I happened upon this place a couple weeks ago. It's a cool idea, but yea - either I would cook with regular groceries, or I would order out.My gf thought they would benefit from a cooking demonstration space in the back (maybe watch someone make the dish while you're shopping before you go home and make it yourself).

I feel like this place will be great for:

1. Kids and tweens. (confirmed by ringrunner, above)

2. Gift certificates. It would be a great gift for people in the neighborhood..I can see brokers buying them in bulk as part of their closing gift packages.

The subscription service..$60 for 3 meals/week for 2 ppl actually seems reasonable. If they can launch and sustain that, that would probably help.
