THE YOUNG ACTORS WORKOUT: Scenes, Improv, Games, Short Plays

Mondays, September 23-December 16, 5:30-7:00 p.m.: $325

SPECIAL CLASS: PERFORMING ARTS HIGH SCHOOL AUDITION WORKSHOP

Tuesdays, September 17-December 10, 5:30-7:00 p.m.: $455 (co-taught with Gloria Biegler)

TEEN ACTORS WORKOUT

Young Actors Workshop classes are located in the heart of Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill at Families First, 250 Baltic Street, between Court and Clinton.

Ezra Barnes is a teacher, actor, and director. A Shakespearean expert, he founded Connecticut’s Shakespeare on the Sound, considered one of the premier outdoor classical theaters in the area, and served as its Artistic Director for 14 years. He is currently performing Off-Broadway in the acclaimed New York premiere of Breakfast With Mugabe. Other appearances include Off-Broadway productions with the Mint, Pearl and New Federal Theater Companies, with numerous regional theaters, with Brooklyn’s own Brave New World Rep. He has been featured on Blue Bloods, Law & Order, Bored to Death, As the World Turns, and in the feature films Noah (upcoming), Joshua and Once More With Feeling. A longtime Brooklyn resident and parent, Ezra has taught theater for young people at Saint Ann’s School, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Poly Prep, and Piper Theatre.
