Just saw that the Pana store is moving to Flatbush Ave.

For those new to this neck of the woods, before anyone else opened a nice-ish, sit-down-ish place on Franklin, a little cafe named Sajé opened on Park & Franklin in 2006. It was, to be certain, a shitshow on all fronts, but it did pave the way for all the new and renovated retail.

An interesting chapter. Wish i could remember what was there before Saje... but to be fair, i didn't have much of a reason to go north of Park Place back in 2003.

Flatbush Ave is cheaper than Franklin Ave?

Many parts of Flatbush don't get the foot traffic of Franklin. So maybe thats why it's cheaper.

It's a pretty big space, one corner room with a spot for sidewalk seating, and a large open room that they used for Sunday church services. Plenty of big windows. Can we hope it will be something good, or are we destined for more chains at this point??

The foot traffic on Flatbush is also different in purpose and demographic than it is on Franklin.

IE Franklin may have more young couples with disposable income on their way to/from work, whereas Flatbush may have a different mix.
