(sorry, i couldn't resist)

On image #2, what's that building behind the Laundry King advert? It looks huge.

The bldg is a rental for low-income residents. This was a DDC (Dept of Design and Construction) project.
And you guys continue to mock me, but you cannot deny that I'm full of interesting neighborhood facts/ gossip (See 221 Prospect Place) -

Where is the building? I'd like to take a look at it form the ground.

If you are indeed the guest that posted about the 221 Prospect Place situation you are full of helpful information. It's just that all guests look like one-timers to me. I assume they're all different people. That's another reason it woud be cool if you registered. -
It's at the itersection of Grand and St. Marks Avenues.
Incidently, St. Marks Avenue is the only avenue in Brooklyn to cross other avenues. Hmmm, very interesting.
As for registering, I think I like the idea that I don't have an identity, but I will sign off as,

Anonymous guest,
I think you can see that we all welcome you when your posts are constructive. -

I just realized that this isn't true. New York Ave, Nostrand Ave, Bedford Ave, Ocean Ave and Coney Island Ave all intersect all of the letter Avenues (and many others). In our own neighborhood, Atlantic Ave also crosses Vanderbuilt, Underhill, Washington, Grand and Classon. In the Lefferts Gardens area discussed in another thread, Lefferts, Clarkson and Parkside are also avenue-crossers. Plus, Flatbush Ave intersects just about every avenue in Brooklyn.

P.S.: This isn't a flame, just a correction. It's been well-established that unsubstantiated rumors are welcome here. -
Do you know what the longest street/avenue/anything is in Brooklyn? Don't google it! It's sort of surprising.

fulton? bedford? i suppose highways dont count, eh? -
I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say Bedford. Am I right?
-
Yep. Everyone guesses Atlantic or Flatbush.
Howdy, Stranger!
