  • Congrats on the great photo of your fedora in the book! How cool!

I'm hoping to come to Perk on Wed, I may bring along a friend.

The jello bath seemed to work, thanks for the tip. I'm hoping the yarn keeps the fit and doesn't expand too much on me. I'll wear it on Wed if I don't get sweet potato puree slung at me by my 9 month old before I leave.
  • Cool, hope to see you there xueling, love to see what your working on next. Bring a friend, my friend Doug is coming. He's the other guy that knits.

How does the sweater fit now?

BTW if you have a wool hat that is too small, try this. Soak it cold water for 10 minutes, then put it in the freezer for a day. Thaw, press out some water in a towel, dry flat. It expands about 2 to 5% depending on the wool.
  • Subject: Como se "llama"?

Ahh the knitting. It's April, this is the last month for knitting at Perk and at Maha's, at least for me.

I met a woman recently who is giving away felt-grade llama. It's not ideal for wearing, unless you're a llama. But you can felt it to make bags, slippers, mmm, and bags and slippers shaped like llama. Use your imagination. It's not carded and the colors are natural: grey, chocolate, ecrue, and fawn.

  • Can you knit me a plus one cloak of llama?
  • Geeeeek! Geeeeeek! Geeeeeeek! I'll check with the evlin fighter, sewing might be in his inherent skill set. Size?

Here's the follow up on the Green Mock Turtle that I made. Conslusion: It looks better on skinny people. I would have to get some ribs removed to get this to fit. This is my buddy Tyler (right), he plays bass. The "thumb" things are bass-friendly. Also good for chain smokers.

Well, it's April, the last knit of the season for our small but fun group. Welcome spring, drop your needles, take some allergy stuff and go for a pleasant walk.
