studio in park slope???? — Brooklynian

studio in park slope????

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a studio in Park Slope. Nobody is breaking a lease and looking for a new tenant? And to find a studio around 1000-1200$ is it possible or only in my dream? I was wondering if there is a better way to look for than using craiglist?
Thanks a lot for your advices!

  • I think it's possible..when I first got my own place last year, i found 2 great places, both under $1000 in park slope..and both in decent areas within the neighborhood..no borders. I don't have her number but I think she advertises on CL. she rents studio apts on 8th ave and 2nd street from $950- $1000+. Her name is Jill Poggioli (spelling may be wrong). I saw one of the apts and it was a pretty good deal for the price. I paid a broker for my current apt and since its in prime slope and i get to avoid the F train, it was worth every cent =) She non pushy.. that was important to me. I had an awful experience with another woman at Berkeley Heights. ugh
  • thanks a lot. I found already the number!
May I ask you an other question? Which broker you had for your current apt?
I hope to move soon in there!
    thanks again
  • we got our current apt with a broker who worked with Corcoran. She's retired. She only showed us the place because she's friends with my landlord.
