I will be interested to see if historical districting will happen fast enough to make a difference (and actually makes a difference, if approved).

By the way, if anyone has been reading the "which neighborhood am I in?" debate, the following sentence affirms what I learned recently:

"The neighborhood, then the western edge of Crown Heights, was surveyed in the 1970s..."

Some long-time residents argue that Prospect Heights was Crown Heights until 2003. But most agree that Prospect Heights, which was established in the 1870s as a neighborhood of the City of Brooklyn, disappeared from the 60's to the 80's and then re-emerged sometime in the late 1990's.

And now, it seems Prospect Heights is swallowing Crown Heights... ah, the ebb and flow of history and nations (er, I mean neighborhoods...).
