Wow! I just walked by that Yaba place on Flatbush and 6th Ave. They're having a 50% sale until next Sunday. Everything there is 50% off. We bought a ton of shit there today for next to nothing. Really amazing. Just thought peeps should know.

  • I've never been in there -- what kind of store is it?
  • All natural and organic goods for body, floor, laundry, baby, etc. It was already really cheap, but now it's cheaper for a week.
  • Ohh, okay, now I know which place you mean! I like that shop. Good to know about the sale!
  • Wow, I stocked up like crazy on Mrs. Meyers stuff, and as much other fancy things as I could fit ito my bikes basket. At this point things are starting to sell out. Incredible sale. It ends Sunday. THanks for posting this!
  • Are they going out of business? Seems like a pretty drastic sale.
  • I don't think they are-I heard the guy who runs the place telling people they did such a sale around christmas too and they are expecting a shipment in today
  • Definitely not going out of business, just moving some stock to make way for new products. I'm going back again!
  • :D:D:D:D:D
Tanks a million for posting this -- that guy is great, and that stuff is great.
Not going out of biz, just doing a semi-annual cleaning out . . . which makes them an excellent local business, keeping that stock fresh.

(So. Now I got lots of soap.)
  • I walked past Yaba a few days ago and the windows were covered in paper?! Are we sure they didn't close for good? I didn't see a sign or anything indicating it was temporary.

I noticed the papered windows on Sunday, and wondered the same thing.
But the guy *said* they weren't closing . . .
