Any water stories to share? We got about 1/2 inch in our front vestibule, but we're top o' the hill in Bklyn. Gotta love the wet/dry vac!
Friends North of here on Bergen had 6-7 inches in their back garden. Was out bucket brigading till 2 am.

I hate my roof. I needed to move furniture out of danger and find buckets. I saw a little lightning too. I haven't checked the basement, I'm living in denial.

S train shut down + too stupid to take a bus = lots of walking in lots of rain to get home yesterday. bleh.
oh, then assuming S train would be fixed this morning to get to work + still not taking a bus = even stupider.
not that i did either of those things... -
Well, my new building recently spent $1,000's on having the outside walls redone so that there would be no more leaks and, needless to say, the contractors did a horrible job because yesterday it leaked worse then it has ever leaked so basicallty, I'm going to be nice and give the building until the end of this year to resolve the problem. Then, next year when it leaks and there is water damage I am going to call a contractor in to fix the paint and plaster inside my apartment and I am going to sue my building for the cost of the repairs. Then when it happens again I am going to call a contractor in to fix the paint and plaster inside my apartment and I am going to sue my building for the cost of the repairs. Eventually, the problem will get fixed.
