#1 thing about dressing as a East Los gangsta, button up the collar button of your flannel only. Let the rest hang loose.
  • i really do not understand your answer to the question. Please translate...
  • Does this mean I can't wear my new peep toe red slingbacks with the 4" heels? Please tell me it isn't so!
  • those shoes sound too sexy not to wear out... i say go for it!!!
  • I have a big red hoodie that I wear around the neighborhood sometimes. But it says "Arkansas" on it, and I doubt anyone would mistake me for a Blood even if it didn't.
  • Well, I guess I'm a crip since my hair is blue! Better work on my crip walk.
  • thanks to all that tried to give an explanation...I spoke with some neighbors today and they explained to me whats going on...

poppies, huh? you gang members, always pushing your smack
  • In the AMs and early afternoons Im seeing a lot of young kids wearing "colors". Im not sure if they are just imitating "style" and not realizing the implications... or they younger members... I really haven't seen any elders (20-40s) wearing colors... where do you see them?
  • well i saw the bloods selling stuff in washington heights while waiting for a customer. cop cars kept passing by.
  • Looking out the window at some contractors working on a renovation. One young one is sporting the blue. We may just be on the verge of yet another round of this fad.
  • One of the guys I work with told me that if they are wearing colors with a flag then they're gang members. (A flag is the red or blue bandana in the back pocket.) If they're just wearing red or blue it's not supposed to mean anything. I consider him a pretty reliable source but who knows? Hopefully, people are just wearing what they want for no other reason than that they like it.

i am frightened to my core
  • I don't think I'd realize someone was a gang member even if I was in the middle of a gang fight! I'd just think it was someone wearing red (or blue).

left or right pocket? and if it's the other one, doesn't that mean you're gay?

Only if it's a rainbow bandana. Or if you wear a standard red or blue one in your back pocket while having sex with a member of the same sex. :D
  • sorry for the late response... supposely a couple of main dealers have been busted, so there is some sort of dealer / gang merger going on. I currently live on Prospect Pl / Classon, and i have talked to several teenagers, and there is defintly a bit more RED on the block. I use to live in LA for awhile, so when i started to notice teenagers wearing red t shirts, shoes and hats as an outfit, it grabbed my attention. if i hear anything else, i'll be sure to post..
  • I believe it's supposed to be in the right pocket, though why the right one is beyond me.
  • LOCK YOU VISIBLE COLOR SPECTRUM
  • I thought a red bandana in the back right pocket meant you were a blood-play top.
  • Subject: omg
