  • I've just started Breaking Bad, it seems like fun so far.

Us too! Watched the first episode last night. Quite a start.
  • I just watched and liked "Revolutionary Road". Kate Winslet is amazing. It was sad, but well-done.
  • I just watched Gran Torino last night and really liked it. Even though it's not my kind of movie (not horror), it was pretty good.
  • I put that on my list, Caseo.....it should come soon.
  • Don't tell anyone but I actually teared up at one point.
  • your secret is safe with us caseo

I saw that movie on a recent flight. I thought it was good; it would have been worth going to in the theater.

    Gimp!

Dude, I hope I'm that badass when I'm 79.
  • Just watched "Awake".

    Awesome movie.

    http://www.watch-movies-links.net/movies/awake/

The story focuses on a man who suffers "anesthetic awareness" and finds himself awake and aware, but paralyzed, during heart surgery. His young wife must wrestle with her own demons as a drama unfolds around them.
  • Just finished Gran Torino. I'm not always a Clint fan, but this was pretty good.
  • omg - teresa has a great body (especially after 3 kids), but how the fuck did she breast feed any of them?
  • Just started the tv show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

Love it! No time wasted with boring "getting to know the characters" in the first episodes; they just jump right in with the shenanigans.

    oops....wrong thread

I watched on disc of "Always Sunny....". It was funny, but I didn't watch any more...
  • I saw District B13 on Netflix (streaming) the other day. It was great! And it's definitely not what you think of when you hear something is a French movie. If this was in English, it would have been a total blockbuster.
  • I agree, definitely a fun film, totally enjoyable and unexpected!

thanks! I'll add it to my queue. Am going through movies like crazy! Keep the suggestions coming!
  • Shaolin vs. Evil Dead FTW!
  • Just saw Miracle at St. Anna streaming from Netflix. Awesome movie. Definitely worth your time.
  • thanks, Carni.

I saw "Two Lovers" the other day and liked it.....

I loved "Breaking Bad" (season one)
  • I just started watching "Rescue Me" from the beginning. Am on episode 4 and like it so far.
  • Flexi, have you watched In Plain Sight? Mary McCormack is hilarious and the rest of the cast is great too. I can't wait for season 2 to come out.

Nope. I'll add it to queue, but 6 seasons of Rescue Me should keep me busy for a while :)

(for anybody who wants a good marathon, I highly recommend "The Wire").
  • I need a scary movie. Anyone got a good creepy scary scary movie recommendation? I don't care how old it is as long as it's scary.

The Omen still scares the shit out of me. My sister and I used to pin each other down and look for the 666 on our heads
  • Night of the Living Dead is one of the scariest movies ever.
"They're coming to get you, Barbara!"

    The first Halloween.

Evil Dead 2 is just f-in brilliant.
  • Serial Mom!

Okay, it's not really scary but Kathleen Turner is fantastic in it. Bonus: young Ricki Lake plays her daughter and the film is by John Waters.
  • The Fog by John Carpenter, not the crappy remake. Scared the crap out of me as a kid so bad that fog creeped me out for years.
  • Fahrenheit 911.
