Help with electronics piece

OK I messed up big time - I broke a part of my son's science fair project called an magnesium coiled electrode and need to get one ASAP. I ordered this one over the internet but I need one sooner than they can deliver. I called Radio Shack with no luck - can any please tell me where I can get one.

I don't know where you could go buy one anymore, although this is the kind of thing I totally could have told you 20 years ago.
