old Hibiscus storefront is available
Here's a heads up for all you potential PH business owners, the old Hibiscus storefront on Vanderbilt between Dean and Bergen has a new For Rent sign on it today. It's a pretty small space, around 350. sq.ft I think, and I have no idea what they're asking.
I have nothing to do with this except a desire for a new business on the block that will be complimentary to my boutique.
Come on someone, open something cool here!

Have you checked out that place on Bergen and Nevins? -
My husband and I have been musing about what could go in the previous "Housebroken" spot across the street from the previous "Hibiscus". Both spots are small but have enough potential to do something cool. This end of Vanderbilt could use some sprucing.

The Housebroken space is not for rent at the moment, and it's quite a bit larger, like 800 or more. There's an extensive back room area. As far as I know, the owners are planning on some intensive renovations to the building, like adding more floors or more building above the garage in back. At least that's the word. The Hibiscus space IS for rent, right now. 350 is small, but you can do it. My first shop was 220 sq. ft, and I was in it for 5 years.

350 square feet? that's still 100 square feet bigger than my apartment!

You're living in 250 sq. ft? wow, that's a tight fit!

I Disagree! I think it most definitely would fly here. Except 350 is probably not enough space for it.

BTW, I noticed the old Housebroken spot DOES have a "FOR RENT" sign on it now. Guess they decided to not do any more construction on the building. Thankfully.
So...everyone who thinks they know how others should run their businesses, now's your chance! Double dare you to put your money, time and effort where your mouth is.
Howdy, Stranger!
