Good copy center for booklets/programs?

Howdy PH-ers,

Sorry to bother everyone with this, but I didn't see much in the archives.

I'm in desperate need of a good recommendation for a decent copy center. Park Slope Copy Center just screwed me on printing up programs for my wedding...any other recommendations that are nearby?

Any opinions on the copy center at 7th Ave. and Flatbush? Anywhere else (I've heard the Kinko's at Court and Joralemon is horrendous)? It's not overly complex or big (about 120 programs, total), but I do need the job done this week.

Thanks in advance for helping this frazzled bride.

  • The place on 7th and Flatbush is okay but, honestly, Park Slope Copy Center is better. They have a wider selection and can do things more professionally. I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with them. Good luck.
  • Subject: Hope you found someplace by now but

I've had good luck with farbetterprinting! They are not that far away but??? Phone # 718-859-3137
  • For anyone who may do a search in the future, I ended up at the Kinko's on Court Street (near Borough Hall), where they did the job perfectly and for less money than any other shop. They even called when the job was going to be completed three hours later than expected. Wow.

    To recap my ordeal:

    * Park Slope Copy Center: Inept, no help, messed up the order twice, refused to redo the order properly. To their credit, they sent us a refund check after we insisted on them doing so.

    * Copy Cottage: Nice folks, but didn't have cardstock in any shade but white and yellow (?!).

    * Court Street Copier and Stationary (near Joralemon): Couldn't quite get what I needed ("You want pink?" "No, red." "PINK?! For wedding?" "NO. RED."), then insisted I buy the paper separately before they did the job (nice profit scheme there), so I walked out.

    * Kinko's: About a 10-minute wait due to it being rush hour, but after that nothing but courteous service. They even made a sample for me to approve without my asking.

So much for supporting local business. *sigh*
  • there's a place on washington ave btwn st. johns and sterling. I haven't needed anything printed so I have not tested them, but they MAY be worth a test. (and I'd always test a print shop before committing to a full job)

Park Slope Copy Center on 7th Avenue sucks.

The employer needs to have his employees take a customer service class.

The only good things about that place is that it is nearby, and the copy machines are self serve.....they are good for a 10 cents copy...and thats ONLY because you get to do that yourself.

If you want something faxed or whatever help at the counter...goodluck trying to get someone to help you.....yeah they see you standing there , but they won't approach you or ask you if you need assistance until they feel like it ....plus getting something faxed to another state is $3.00 , I don't know if that is just NYC prices , but I have never paid that much for faxing a single sheet of paper.
