Did this board become staid and dull?

Gotta weigh in
The board had lots of interesting debates, discussions and information when I joined. I really looked forward to checking in every day.
I live in Fort Greene. That board has also become boring, I read the other nabe's boards and everyone seems to be into their own neighborhood The key to it is this is Brooklyn and some of us are all intersted in the same thing.
I am new to Brooklyn so the individual nesighborhoods are cool, but I can't identify most of them. I moved to Brooklyn from Manhattan and living in Brooklyn is the coolest part of it all.
OK Spring is here. Guess I will go outside and try to find all these neighborhoods. -
I'm curious .....the people who say this board is boring have very few posts themselves.
Are you somebody else in disguise?
If not, I (again) ask....what are YOU doing to make it more interesting? Or are you simply complaining because we aren't entertaining you sufficiently any more? -
I'm in agreement with a lot of the posts here: if you're bored with content, start a thread about interesting content. if you're bored with the way a discussion is heading, post something that interests you. the people who post on this board obviously find the content interesting, so they're not going to change gears just to make you happy. but chances are they've got something to say about whatever it is you think is so interesting.

I think they have a secret handshakes and secret meeting places
. those bastards!! -

100% agreed, hahha, I realized that right after I posted. But to answer the question I graduated in 1997, 10 whole years ago! Then I fled to Arizona!
If anyone thinks that having gone to Midwood is interesting then this Board is doomed, as is the wrld, as is the universe, as is me... oh me
goodness!!!! -
mmm entertainment I can get elsewhere.
Yes, I have very few posts because if I have nothing to add to the conversation I keep pretty quiet. That said it does not stop me from enjoying the boards. I joined and I enjoy reading what you have to say, but lately it is all about what restaurant is good, where can I buy something or lets meet up.
I probably would not have much to say about these topics, but there are topics (or threads), like did anyone go to the Cherry Blossom Festival, has anyone seen a good movie and can reccommend it, Is there a good book that you read that might be of interest, did anyone listen to Brian this morning on NPR? How about Ugly Betty, anyone like it or hate it? American Idol?
Meet-ups and a good dry cleaners are fine.
Perhaps I am not yet a Brooklynite. I guess I will give it a few more months. -

You might want to look at the rest of the main Index, or use View posts since last visit

I like the posts about restaurants, and have no interest in discussing American Idol. I guess we all want different things. -
I was just wondering if you (the mod squad I suppose) were planning on removing all my posts from here on out?

Nope. In this one, for instance, you're not calling anyone any names or being blatantly hostile. Well done!

Upredactedoff?
MOD NOTE:  -
Well today the conversation seems pretty lively. I have posted 4 posts in 1 day.
Thanx Pitu and others...
Lookin good! -

Excellent points.
Seriously - have YOU contributed? I'm sure you have opinions - why not share them? The people who seem like they're in a club are "known" personalities only because they come on and post.
I'm not saying anything, I'm just sayin ;-) -

Disguise? I don't really get that.

I used to lurk on the boards and occasionally post. I found many of the threads entertaining. Maybe the core group now is just too small to generate new ideas.
I did add a post that apparently made the board more interesting. -

Banned for thinking that this thread is interesting. -
Seriously, if someone doesn't post they don't have much right to say the board is dull. I've noticed some days aren't as lively but I don't think anything of it. It's not that the community is small now, maybe people are doing other things or whatever. Why rely on other people to keep you entertained?
