Curbing you dog
What does it really mean, from what I googled it means having your dog do his/her business on the street. There is no way I am doing that.
I always thought it meant to get to as close as you can to the curb.
Some guys on st. marks yelled at me because my dog pooped 4 inches from a tree that was by the curb. I understand that dog waste ruins vegetation and that is why I don't let my dog poop on the grass/trees. I told him that them that I understand what he is saying and he sees me ever day and ever day I pick up after my dog. I live in the area and I want it to look nice that is why I would do any little thing that would make our neighborhood look a little nicer.
I’m ranting and I’m just piss because I feel like I’m one of the few in the area that even picks up after their dog. I live by the shuttle by Franklin so all those who take it now what I’m taking about there is poo everywhere.

I make my pooch pee in the street (neon yellow piss can't be good for grass), but I'm not too worried about making her take a crap in the street - it is going to be picked up two seconds later, as you said - an untended tree pit is fine for that. Other than that, I just keep her away from what are clearly tended tree pits, flower beds, etc. I feel that if you're doing the above and someone's still gettin' uppity, they're just looking for something to be pissed about. Screw 'em.

I don't have a dog, and thus don't have a dog in this fight (groan) but am a nerd, so...as to your definition, the word curb as a verb has a more general meaning than you're ascribing to it. It just means to restrain or control (e.g. your dog).
AFAIK it's only urine that's destructive to plants, because of its nitrogen content, so if someone's freaking out about dogs crapping on their lawn when it will be picked up two seconds later, they're overdoing it.
Long way of saying, I agree with WhyFi.
I'd also just like to say, because I can't believe no one else has yet: CURB YOU DOGS.
Howdy, Stranger!
