Mint Juleps require tons of crushed ice!

There used to be an ice house on the PH/CH border. I believe it was on Bergen or Dean near Franklin. Try asking at the wholesale liquor store on Washington. They may be able to point you to it, if it still exists.

Throw a bag on the floor.
Use a food processor. I've got a party for 85 today and I'm using the 5lb bags from the store. No worries.
Happy Derby Day Mayo! -
the floor is my favorite crushed ice option, too. sorry, downstairs neighbors. I double bag it and drop it several times. if I need it truly 'crushed' I whack it with a frying pan a few times. that's about as truly as I get.
