  • I ran into this yesterday morning and she said it would be another restaurant, but didn't indicate any more details.
  • the role of kam hong was played by chin ho

or was that the other way around
  • Kam Fong was played by Chin Ho!
    And Kono played by Zulu.
  • Subject: Greek

My husband spoke with the owner the other day, who told him it was going to be Greek.
  • I heard another chinese place....spoke with the construction workers, however English was not his first language.

    who played jack lords hair?
  • That was played by Brylcreem.
  • Damn. I don't like greek food. but i do like greek coffee!
  • I can confirm it will be Greek. My husband and I spoke with the owner (Terry or Teddy -- he had a very heavy accent, so I can't be sure) and he said he hopes to be open within a month. Really nice guy; it'll be interesting to see what they bring to the nabe.
  • Great scoop, brooklynred!!!

I can't wait to try it.
  • Hey,

Met the owner Teddy this morning on the way to work.
He immediately invited me in and gave me a tour of the place. He is a very nice guy and I told him we were so happy he is coming to the neighborhood.

It is in fact Greek as confirmed and there is indoor seating and - OUTDOOR SEATING IN THE REAR connected with wood and glass French doors. The space opens up to a new brick patio and garden in the back and is much bigger than I thought! He is doing a full renovation so the place should be nice. He didn't have any menus yet.

He said it will be open in about 1 month or so and told me that he hopes I like Greek food! He will have spanikopita, olives, feta - ya know - the works...and garden seating in the back.

Finally - some new restaurant/ service progress on Washington and Lincoln....
  • Awesome. Nice to see a new place in our part of the hood that's not a tailor or a party store. I really hope this kickstarts some more activity on our part of Washington. Less bulletproof chinese food, please.
  • wow, I'm psyched. I saw the signage on my way to work this morning and thought "yay! it really isn't going to be another chinese restaurant!"
  • Teddy's opens tomorrow 6/25/07 at Noon - they deliver and he has menus now. The place looks great and is a real restaurant - not a take out.
    the Garden looks great.

The garden area is pretty large in the back and the restaurant is nice too.
    Go grab a menu.
