Wine crates?

Hey all,

I'm not sure it's rude for my first post to be a request, but here I go anyway...

I'm looking for wooden wine crates, so that I can build bookshelves for a wall and disguise my speakers and stereo. I've checked in at a few liquor stores, but I thought my search might go a little quicker if I asked here, too.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I work at Shawn's on 7th between Carroll and Garfield. I'll you know why they might be hard to come by. It's usually only the higher end french wines that come in the wooden crates, although there are a couple others. Since those wines aren't flying off the shelf, they don't get unpacked as often.

I've almost completely stopped telling people I'll hold them for them if they leave a phone number. Many people either didn't call me back when I called them or it took forever for them to pick them up. Right now, I only do it for regulars who I know I'll see. If you can promise you'll pick them up in a day or 2 I'll hold them for you when they come up. We just don't have alot of space to keep them around. Also, I moved 6 months ago and discovered they fit perfectly under my bed so I've been helping myself to some. I don't think we have any right now but I'd be willing to share, I promise!

Got it! And you might want to go to other wine stores to let them know that you actually will pick them up if they hold them for you. It will probably help if you let them know that you understand the limited space and that not alot of wines come in the wooden crates. Good luck, and you'll be the first to know when we get some!
