Poll: How much do you spend on groceries each week?

I guess I spend $40-50 a week on groceries. My diet is pretty stilted towards meats and grains. I usually cook several days' worth of meals at a time to lessen the temptation to eat out. I don't eat a whole lot of produce and shop the sale items.

Saturday we spent $240.00 for the week for a family of four. That's the big delivery order. We spent another $45.00 at the farmers market. Does not include the quick stops I make during the week. We eat out on weekends, brunch and dinner. Also give the kids, mostly older teen, money to eat out. The bill would probably be cheaper if I sat down say each Sunday and made a list of each meal for that week and bought accordingly.
If you're on a budget I would recommend a crockpot. Good way to use cheaper cuts of meat. Plus you don't have to spend much time preparing the meal. I made pulled pork on Monday. Cooked for hours. It was fabulous. I used loin but you can easily use a cheaper cut like shoulder.
