not sure why it's referred to as Prospect Hts at Fulton & Vanderbilt
These two men (pictured) are wanted for shooting a 29-year-old man during a fight in a Prospect Heights diner early Monday, authorities said.

The victim was paying for his takeout order at 887 Fulton Street just before 5 a.m. when the two men began to argue with him. One pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the torso before fleeing, police said.

The man drove to Interfaith Hospital where he was in critical condition.

  • that place is a dump. I heard it was going to close.
  • that place is NASTY. they cook all their food in this horrible tasting margarine or lard. i hope it closes down. some people would crucify me for this, but i think that spot is perfect for a Starbucks. *ducks*
  • i would like to crucify you for that, yes.
    why do you want to ruin my neighborhood? seriously.
    there are good people there, and they've been hooking up a solid bacon, egg & cheese for a long time.
    there's a lovely starbucks down at atlantic center. go hang out there.
  • Why wouldn't anyone who visits these bopards go to the country house. The more I read these blogs the more I am starting to thing that the people who write in them are alittle pompous and arrogant. I wouldn't eat there either but whoever does that's there choice.
  • I love diners, but that place is truly disgusting. The food literally comes out of a hole in the wall from the kitchen, and it's not good quality diner fair. Total crap and dirty too.
  • Subject: Country House

    I had a late breakfast there once. I thought it was okay - about what I expected.
    But it's true that I don't "hang out" there...

    yeah ... that was kinda my point.

    anyway, there aren't many places in CH left like this, for better or for worse.
  • I never could find information about that place; funny when everything else on Fulton is discussed ad nauseum.

    That is why there is a Dept. of Health and other agencies to help people who don't know better make a choice. Bacon?
  • Not to add to the arrogance, but the spelling on this board is atrocious!

    Ur kidding--->That's "their" choice
    Other Guest-->quality diner "fare"

    :o
  • you right mr webster
  • Avenge me!

    who said that people's comments were being made out of arrogance? It looks to me like more people are avoiding it because the quality of the food may be a little sketchy.

    I like diners too, but I also like not having botulism...
  • Oops, I typed "fair" instead of "fare". That was inadvertant, lol.
  • Stroganoff that's great they're good people, and I'm very sorry they had that tragedy in their diner, but their food is UTTERLY NASTY!
  • That is horrible.

    You are right, people will not agree. The last thing we need is some gross, overpriced chain with bad business practices. I would prefer a cafe, a local coffeeshop or something that will add character to the area--not make it look the same as all the others.
